Profile: Lumera Corporation develops proprietary polymer materials and products. We engineer polymer materials at the molecular level-commonly referred to as nanotechnology to optimize their electrical, optical &/or surface properties. We use these materials to improve the design, performance and functionality of devices, which is used primarily in bioscience and in communications & computing. We design and build devices that translate & encode data from electronic signals into optical signals that are used in communications systems and in optical interconnects for high-speed data communication. Our first product in this area is a polymer-based modulator for use in defense communications systems.
